TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Here is the thing that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
